By purchasing this package, you have the opportunity to try out Spectrum's special carbon-filled versions of technical filaments.
Carbon fiber-reinforced filaments are characterized by significantly higher stiffness, hardness, and tensile strength while retaining the original beneficial properties of the base materials. For instance, PLA mixed with carbon fibers is still defined by low shrinkage and excellent adhesion. A carbon content exceeding 10% results in a matte surface, greatly enhancing the aesthetic properties of printed objects.
PCTG is a copolyester that is often compared to PETG in terms of properties, but PCTG offers significantly higher impact strength. Its high elasticity, strong layer cohesion, high viscosity, and negligible shrinkage make it an ideal polymer for composite materials. The PCTG CF10 filament enables the printing of parts with greater hardness and tensile strength compared to classic PCTG. The use of carbon fibers also increases the filament's thermal resistance.
The Spectrum PA6 Low Warp CF15S model features an extra blend designed to improve material flow, enhancing the adhesion of material particles. With 15% carbon fiber content, stiffness more than doubles, and tensile strength improves (up to 120 MPa). Additionally, Spectrum PA6 Low Warp CF15S offers a higher HDT thermal resistance of 180°C (0.45 MPa) compared to the unfilled version. The fiber content reduces shrinkage, a common issue with most high-temperature materials, making the printing process significantly easier and giving prints an aesthetically pleasing "carbon-like" appearance.
