Carbon fiber filaments

Filaments modified with carbon fibers are characterized by significantly higher stiffness, hardness, and tensile strength while retaining the original beneficial properties of the base material. Moreover, the carbon fiber content reduces shrinkage, making the printing process easier. Adding carbon fibers results in a matte surface on printed objects, greatly enhancing their aesthetic qualities.

Filament manufacturers recommend using nozzles with a diameter larger than 0.4 mm for high carbon content. Carbon is abrasive and can wear down brass nozzles, so it is advisable to use nozzles made of harder materials or those with a protective coating!
